New library app launches

The CLEVNET library network has launched a new free app for Apple and Android smart phones and tablets.

In other words, it's an app you can use for almost any library in the area, including the public libraries for Sandusky, Norwalk, Bellevue, Huron, Vermilion, Clyde, Fremont and Milan-Berlin. Only Port Clinton's library is missing.

I downloaded the Android app, entered my Sandusky Library account information, and put a book on hold. The app told me which of my books is due next and gave me the status of my other holds. Searching on the app is easy.

A suburban Cleveland librarian tested the app for me and remarked, "Their app is better than ours."

You can get the CLEVNET app at the iTunes app store, from Google Play or by going here.  If there's no app for your particular device, the mobile web URL is here.
