BLOG: Beethoven comes to Elyria

CityMusic Cleveland, the organization that presents free concerts of classical music in the Cleveland metropolitan area, is presenting an all-Beethoven program this weekend, and as usual, one of the concerts will be in Elyria, a reasonable drive from Sandusky.

Specifically, the orchestra's performance will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at St. Mary's Church in Elyria. The program will be the composer's violin concerto (with soloist Chee Yun), the Coriolan Overture and the Eroica Symphony (e.g., the third).

Free child care is available for the concert, but reservations are required. Call 440.323.5539. It's also a good idea to arrive a little early for the concert if you want a good seat.
