WWJD? I think he would leave a note.

I took advantage of Friday's warm weather by taking my two boys for a walk around town. We were walking down Central Avenue when I heard a crunch. It wasn't the crunch you hear when your three-year-old opens a bag of chips during a walk, it was the crunch of one car hitting another one at a very slow speed.

I looked around and saw that someone in a black SUV had backed into another parked black SUV in the parking lot of St. Mary Catholic Church. Many of us have been in this situation whether it be the wind blowing your door into the car next to you or the shopping cart brushed into the fender of a neighboring car while you were unloading your groceries. We assess the damage and calculate our insurance deductible and how much it might cost us to be honest.

I will admit, I have been on both sides of this coin and I have left notes and also been left notes. I have also not left notes and not had notes left for me.

But this was a church parking lot and this woman drove away after assessing the damage. I was too far away to do or say anything at the time and the driver drove off in the opposite direction so I was unable to get a license number. I did take a look at the back bumper of the "victim" vehicle and it was probably damage worthy of a note.
