Remember your tyme at Lyme

Jason Werling • Mar 23, 2010 at 6:27 PM

I recently had the opportunity to go the open house for Lyme Elementary School in Bellevue. It was an open house for a school that is closing at the end of this school year. The current building is over 70-years-old, but the site was also home to a previous Lyme School for many years before that.

The story is here with a video I put together of our conversations with Earline (Wolfe) Linder, a former teacher at the school and Sylvester "Tubby" Lepley. Linder was a teacher at the "new" school when it first first opened and Lepley was one of her fourth-grade students.

I wanted to include other stories that other people told at the open house Sunday and didn't have the room in my original video.

Here are a couple...

Former Principal Paul Sackett and current Principal Jerry Garman

Kennedy story by Steve Burr, former Lyme School student
