Most expensive performance review in history

The recent antics of city and county officials amaze me, but I'd be surprised if they would have the arrogance to actually file criminal charges against police Chief Kim Nuesse to keep their agenda alive. There's just nothing there and they won't be able to make it up or make it stick. At the very least, there will be one wise man or one wise woman on a jury who sees through these political shenanigans.

Can you say "hung jury?" Can you say it twice?

So when all is said and done, the "integrity probe" will become the most expensive job performance review in city history. I hope the performance review city manager Matt Kline gets is far less expensive, much more decisive and is quickly rendered. I hope it gets done before Kline is allowed to make a self-serving decision on Nuesse's fate that will prove even more expensive to taxpayers and detrimental to good government.

One can always hope.
