County commission candidates invade cyberspace

Tom Jackson • Mar 23, 2010 at 6:27 PM

Three of the four candidates running for Erie County Commissioner have set up campaign sites on the Internet.

Joe Hayberger, Mike Printy and Pat Shenigo are hoping you'll drop in their sites to learn more about their campaigns.

Tom Ferrell, the lone holdout against the Internet campaigning trend, told me today he's managed to win his other elections without relying on the Internet. He also told me he doesn't consider himself a computer expert.

Of course, Ferrell has been a fixture in local politics for years, so name recognition is not a problem.

And Ferrell, like the other three, is answering questions for our campaign blog. (This week's issue is jail overcrowding).
