Calling all Steelers fans (and Cardinals fans. Are there any?)

Jason Werling • Mar 23, 2010 at 6:27 PM

Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns fans are cut from the same cloth. That team out east just happens to be in the Super Bowl this year. And won the Super Bowl three years ago.

Both teams' fans are blue collar people, passionate about their teams and passionate about hating any other team in their division. And both teams' fans are passionate enough to paint their cars in their respective team colors. (See photos to the right)

My in-laws live in the Pittsburgh area so you can guess how the past several years have been for me as I am a Cleveland Browns fan. My family and I were in Pennsylvania over the weekend and you would have thought the pope was coming with how geared up western Pennsylvania is.

But it's not just western PA that's excited about this weekend. I'm sure there are plenty of fans around here that can't wait for Big Ben to suit up against the Cardinals.

If you or someone you know is a rabid Steelers fan, send me an e-mail with contact information to werling@sanduskyregister.com and include a photo if you have one.

I'm not sure if I'll be rooting for the Steelers this Sunday or not. I don't think my in-laws would be barking for the Browns should they ever make it to the big game.
