SMCC edges Oak Harbor

A back-and-forth contest throughout, Oak Harbor entered the fourth quarter Friday with a 33-32 lead, but the Panthers went ahead and held on for a 52-48 win, denying the Rockets their first Sanduky Bay Conference win.
After falling behind in the fourth quarter, Oak Harbor threatened several times, but were never able to take the lead, getting as close as one point when Steve Young converted on a three-point play with 29.7 seconds remaining.
However, SMCC's Denarius Harris responded with two free throws on the other end, giving the Panthers a 49-46 lead, and an Oak Harbor turnover on the ensuing possession ended any hope the Rockets had of making a comeback.
