The Port Clinton Redskins overcame a four-point halftime deficit against St. Mary Central Catholic for a 56-51 Sandusky Bay Conference victory Wednesday at Port Clinton High School.

Port Clinton (4-2, 2-2 SBC) trailed 28-24 at the half, but outscored St. Mary 19-11 in the third to take the lead. The Redskins held on in the fourth for the win.

"I think coach (Lyle) Falknor did a nice job preparing his kids," Port Clinton coach Troy Diels said. "They came it out and took it right to us. We needed a big third quarter to get back in it."

Derek Colston led all scorers with 22 points, grabbing 13 rebounds for the Redskins. Jason Faust and Alex Greene followed with nine and seven points, respectively.

Perkins 70, Clyde 42

At Clyde, Perkins used a strong inside/outside combination attack in a 28-point victory over the Fliers, 70-42.

Brandon Smith led the Pirates with 23 points, including three 3-pointers, while Michael Ebert scored 20 points on the inside for Perkins.

The biggest thing was we had a nice inside/outside threat with Smith and Ebert," Perkins coach Scott McVeigh said. "And we kept getting it to Ebert, and he did a nice job finishing tonight."

Huron 54, Oak Harbor 31

At Oak Harbor, the Tigers got back to .500 with a dominating win over the Rockets.

The combination of Brian Bollenbacher and Kyle Pisano alone outscored Oak Harbor as a team for the Tigers (3-3, 2-2 SBC) as Bollenbacher scored 18 and Pisano added 15.

For Oak Harbor (1-4, 0-4 SBC), DJ Everett paced the team with nine points.
