The Danbury boys basketball team held off Northwood for a 54-53 Toledo Area Athletic Conference win Friday night at Danbury High School.
Danbury led 29-26 at the half and 41-38 entering the final quarter.
With the win, the Lakers improved to 2-2 overall and 1-0 in the TAAC. Northwood fell to 1-3, 0-2.
Dakota Hruby led Danbury with 13 points while Brandon Burke added 12. Caleb Helline scored nine points while both Lucas Kennedy and Hunter Stephens each added eigiht points.
Fostoria 42, Bellevue 37
At Fostoria, the visiting Redmen fell to 0-4 overall and 0-2 in the Northern Ohio League after scoring in single digits in each of the first three quarters in a loss at Fostoria.
Bellevue, which has struggled all season with scoring, is averaging just 37.5 points per game offensively through the first four games.
Shelby 63, Willard 46
At Shelby, the league favorites handed Willard it's first loss in convincing fashion with a 17-point rout.
Shelby exploded to a 19-3 lead just six minutes into the game and kept the heat on, leading 21-7 at the first break, and 36-15 at the half.
The Whippets upped the margin to 22, leading 62-40 with 2:20 remaining in the contest before a late Willard flurry closed it to 63-46 at the end.
