Satterfield, Margaretta top Huron

The Polar Bears got a full seven innings from pitcher Taylor Satterfield in Monday's 8-3 win against Huron. It was also the first victory in the Sandusky Bay Conference for Maragaretta.

Five runs in the fifth inning staked the Bears (5-11, 1-6 SBC) to a five run lead and broke the 3-all tie.

Edison 16, SMCC 6 (6 inn.)

At Sandusky, Jason Blodgett hit a three-run homer in the sixth inning and the Chargers snapped out of their funk to beat SMCC.

Tommy Gerbacht threw the final four innings and didn't allow a hit. He struck out two and walked two.

Caleb Severance took the loss for SMCC.

Clyde 2, Oak Harbor 1

At Oak Harbor, two runs in the top of the second inning were enough for pitcher Jordan Colson, who limited the Rockets to two hits and an earned run with three strikeouts.

Derek Gray and Zach Prentice each singled in one RBI for Clyde (11-10).

Bellevue 19, Galion 4 (5 inn.)

At Bellevue, Jordan McNeely kept his record perfect on the mound and two players for the Redmen had three RBIs in a rout of Galion.

McNeely threw 2 1/3 innings and struck out four with two walks while allowing four earned runs on seven hits. Jeff Roth threw the rest of the way with two strikeouts.

Vermilion 5, Firelands 3

At Oberlin, Sailors' starter Derek Mills threw four innings and allowed three earned runs on five hits with four strikeouts, earning his seventh win this season.

Vinny Ragnoni was 2 for 3 with an RBI in the game and Gabe Skahen added a hit and two RBIs for the Sailors (14-11, 9-5 WSC).


Lexington 7, Norwalk 5

At Mansfield, the Minutemen handed the Truckers a sectional defeat in the third meeting between the teams this year.

The Truckers must refocus for two games this week against Shelby and Tiffin. Wins in both games would clinch the Northern Ohio League title for Norwalk.
