Norwalk’s baseball winning streak reached four after Friday’s 10-6 win over Ashland at Norwalk High School.
The Truckers improved to 9-2 overall.
Leading 4-2, Norwalk put up six runs in the bottom of the fourth inning.
The bottom of the order started the big inning. Norwalk had five straight hits, in addition to walks.
“It was a good win against a quality program,’’ Truckers coach Wes Douglas said. “We’re very satisfied what we got.’’
The Truckers are 4-0 this week heading into a doubleheader scheduled to start at 11 a.m. today against Elyria Catholic.
In the win over Ashland, Logan Shullick had three hits, including two doubles with two RBI and two runs.
Dustin Lieber went 2-of-2 with a solo home run in the second, a double, two walks and two RBI.
Johnie Wilcox, Evan Bader and Cam Wrabel each posted a hit and RBI, Isaac Perry a hit and two RBI, Trey Hallock a hit and Nick Davis a double.
Bader won on the mound, improving to 2-0 on the season. He allowed three runs (two earned) on five hits with three walks and four strikeouts.
Perry went the final two innings and gave up three runs (none earned) on three hits.
Norwalk also has a big NOL week scheduled, starting Monday with a home game against Bellevue.
The Truckers host Tiffin Columbian Tuesday and go to Shelby Thursday.
