Halloween is almost here. Though it’s not for another week and a half, there are plenty of creeptastic and ghoulish events for kids and adults to enjoy this week. So get started a little early this year — check out the Halloween happenings below.

Ghost Walks with Victoria

• WHEN: 7, 8 & 9 p.m. daily, through Oct. 31

Walk through historic, eerie Port Clinton with Victoria as your guide. Listen and look as she takes you to places where spirits, ghosts and orbs have been sighted and recorded. Bring your camera and your courage. Walks last one hour. Children are not recommended for the

Halloween BOO! Bash at the Bay

• WHEN: Oct. 21-23

What do you get when you mix over 1,000 people in costume, frosty cold adult beverages and great live entertainment? Ohio’s largest island Halloween party and a great time. There will be costume contests with numerous cash prizes, and downtown bars and taverns will decorate with a haunted theme. Book early. This is the island’s last big weekend of the year.

Creatures of the night come alive at Cedar Point’s annual celebration of spooks and screams. You’ll find not-so-scary fun for the kids and in-your-face frights for adults.

Annual Halloween Fun Fair

The Annual Halloween Fun Fair will have plenty of games and refreshments (for a small fee). Wear your costume and join us for an evening of food, treats and spooky fun games. Proceeds benefit the Child Care Program.

Halloween Sweet Scavenger Hunt

Registration for this fun scavenger hunt begins at 10:30 a.m. The hunt is from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. You must register to participate.

Ghosthunting Ohio

Sandusky Library and Ghostly Manor invite you to celebrate Halloween a little early this year. Learn how to apply Halloween makeup and how to be creative with your costume.

Trunk or Treat

There’s something for everyone at this event. Bring your kids to trick or treat, or you can

decorate your car or the trunk of your car for Halloween, wear a costume and pass out candy. Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes and best decorated cars. Everyone is welcome to sit around the fire and roast marshmallows, enjoy hot dogs, donuts and apple cider. Event is free and open to the public.

Halloween Party Cruise to Kelleys

This popular event is unfortunately sold out, so this listing is more of a reminder than anything else. The Goodtime I departs from Sandusky at 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m., then departs Kelleys Island for the return trip at 10:30 p.m. and 1 a.m.

Living Dead Girl Body Art Show

This is exactly what it sounds like — a body art show and model contest. Cash prizes will be awarded for the best body art and best models. Any ladies may enter, and professional artists will be at your disposal if you’re brave enough to get painted. Pumpkin Decorating Contest
