There are plenty of festive things to do on the Fourth of July, but we figured we'd highlight some other events worthy of your time and attention. From festivals and a history lesson to a giant pool party and a bookworm's dream, there's something for everyone.

1.)    Greenwich Fireman’s Festival

Why you should go: It’s been a tradition for the last 37 years. Enjoy this classic small-town festival at the Tri Community Joint Fire Dept. Daily events include an ox roast, amusements and rides, live music, concessions, games, pony rides, a Friends of the Library book sale and a softball tournament. You’ll also enjoy a weekend-long car show with special events daily.
