Police responded to the Burger King drive-through at 710 W. Perkins Ave. early Wednesday morning when a man allegedly threatened other customers with a gun. A driver waiting for food in the drive-through at 1:08 a.m. said a man behind him honked his car horn. When the driver honked back the man got out of the car and approached the driver.

A Sandusky manufacturing plant active for more than 50 years is shutting down production at the end of this week. Thakar Aluminum Corp., 1364 Olds St., told its workers Monday that production will end Friday, a union official said. Court filings show Thakar is in default on millions of dollars of loans.
