Shipwrecked brings flavors from across the Atlantic
Portage Twp.

Shipwrecked Bar and Grill has everything that you'd expect from an eatery with its name — steaks, hamburgers, wings, seafood, pasta, chicken, salads and so on.

But it also has something that gives the new restaurant a unique flavor: Mediterranean dishes such as hummus, stuffed grape leaves, taboulee salad and kafta meat dishes.

Toledo residents Sam and Christine Markho own the restaurant.

I think that this article is HILARIOUS!  Of all the LOCAL places to write an article on, the Sandirty Register choses this place.  Maybe do your research a little before you promote a place.  Ask around town to find out what REALLY is going down at this hole.... if you can't find out take a drive over and ask to go into the "VIP" room.  Way to go Register for supporting a NON LOCAL place of business that has done nothing but bring trash into our community.  Why not support some local places that are running good honest businesses in this tough economy?

Tried it once. Was not at all impressed. I don't mind paying for good food, but this food was way overpriced! The lasagna was cold and the flavor was not good even reheated in the oven. I think 7$ is a bit much for a side of fries! Weren't too many choices on the menu! The chicken gyro was ok, but don't try to lift it to eat it because the sog factor was too high! We watched them put alot of time and work into this place for such a big disappointment. I wouldn't mind going at night for some drinks and entertainment, but food is out of the question! I guess the anticipation of them finally opening put them too high on a pedestal for me. Oh well, you win some you lose some!
