The Erie County Dog Pound has the following dogs available for adoption:

• Duke Miniature pinscher mixed male, 2 years old.Housebroken, nice lap dog, no children younger than 10, please. Available now.

• Muffy — Mixed female lab, 2 years old. Housebroken, good with other dogs. Available now.

• Minnie Female lab mix, 2 years old. Housebroken, loves to carry chew toys around. Available now.

• Max Male lab mix, 2 years old. Housebroken, outgoing. Will sit and high five. Available now.

• Otis Neutered male lab mix, 2 years old. Housebroken, loves to run and play. Available now.

Lola Female rottweiler mix, 11/2 years old. Housebroken, never been with kids or other animals. Available now.

• Mason Neutered male collie mix, 5 years old. Housebroken, very calm and lovable. Available now.

• Tiger Male lab mix, 2 years old. Housebroken, fun, energetic dog. Available now.

• Inky Male pug mix, 4 months old. Playful, sweet pup with lots of energy. Available noon Friday.

• Hooch Male Boston terrier, 2 years old. Housebroken, fun, loving, friendly. Available now.

The Erie County Dog Pound, 2900 Columbus Ave., Perkins Township, is open from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday and 10-10:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. Call 419-627-7607. Adopting a dog costs $30.

 

 

The Erie County Humane Society features the following cats available for adoption:

• Banshee A 1-year-old calico girl who is very affectionate.

• Helix A 1-year-old tiger who is very playful and loves to cuddle.

• Patchy A 12-week-old kitten who was found with a burned ear. Now healed, it makes him extra cute. He likes kids, cats and dogs.

• Mia An energetic 3-month-old tiger kitten. His sister Mya needs a home, too.

 

The Humane Society is located at 1911 Superior St., Sandusky. Adoption hours are 1-6 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and 1-4 p.m. Saturday. Normal adoption fees are: Cats/kittens $60, but fees are waived for cats 3 years old or older. Dogs/puppies adoption fees vary. The fees include spaying/neutering and first shots if the kitten is at least 3 months old. The phone number is 419-626-6220.
