    I would like to commend McDonald’s, the manager and employees on Perkins Avenue for their kind act on the day of the Hermes Dairy fire.

    They were more than happy to do something for the firefighters fighting the blaze on Hayes Avenue. They really did appreciate the coffee, hot chocolate and sandwiches.

    Those firefighters must be a certain breed of people to risk their lives battling the fire under such extreme frigid conditions.

    I saw some who had so much ice on their uniforms they could hardly walk.
