PERKINS TWP.
At about 12:45 a.m. Monday a man dressed in a black coat and blue pants robbed a woman at gunpoint as she tried to make a bank deposit at Citizen's Bank on East Perkins Avenue, police said.
The man stood about 6 feet tall, had a medium build and wore a face mask, said Perkins police Det. Al Jenkins.
The culprit, who hid before running up to the woman's driver's side window, fled north into the city limits after grabbing the money, he said.
"He just demanded the money. That's all he would say," Jenkins said. "She was shaken up very bad... scared to death."
The type of weapon is unknown. The woman said it was a large gun. The amount of money has not been disclosed.
Anyone with information, especially residents of the East Perkins Avenue and Pioneer Trail areas, is asked to call Perkins police at 419-627-0824.
